For research use only ยท Not for human consumption
This material is reference information for laboratory study of research peptides. It is not medical advice and it is not instructions for human use, self-administration, or therapeutic application. Capital Precision Labs supplies research chemicals for in-vitro and animal-model study only. Discuss any health-related questions with a licensed medical practitioner.
Mislabelled or contaminated research materials are a real risk for laboratories, and they ruin experiments. Checking a supplier before you order is part of good laboratory practice.
๐ฉ No third-party Certificates of Analysis
A legitimate vendor has its products tested by an independent laboratory (HPLC purity plus mass spectrometry for identity confirmation). COAs should be publicly available and batch-specific, not one generic document. If a vendor has no COAs or only vendor-produced internal testing, that is a red flag. Check Capital Precision Labs' certificate of analysis page โ certificates are published for most products.
๐ฉ Prices dramatically below market
Legitimate peptide production is expensive. HPLC-grade synthesis, lyophilisation, sterility testing, and cold-chain logistics have real costs. Vendors offering prices 50โ70% below market either have no quality controls, are selling mislabelled products, or are operating a scam. A suspiciously cheap BPC-157 5 mg vial should raise immediate questions about what is actually inside it.
๐ฉ No physical address or verifiable business identity
Legitimate vendors can be verified as real businesses. Look for: a registered business (in Australia, an ABN on your tax invoice), a consistent business name across the site, invoices and packaging, and a verifiable internet presence that predates their contact with you. Vendors operating from anonymous email addresses or only contactable via Telegram are high risk.
๐ฉ Unverifiable testimonials and impossibly positive reviews
Every review is 5 stars. The reviews read like advertising copy. No negative reviews anywhere. This pattern is typical of fake review farms. Credible vendors have mixed reviews including genuine customer service complaints โ and respond to them. Look for reviews on independent platforms, not just on the vendor's own site.
๐ฉ Unsolicited contact or aggressive marketing
Legitimate research suppliers do not cold-contact people via social media DMs offering peptides. If someone reached out to you unsolicited through Instagram, Reddit, or a forum, the prior probability of legitimacy is extremely low. Unsolicited offers from unknown individuals are a classic scam pattern.
๐ฉ Vague or incorrect product labelling
Legitimate products are clearly labelled with the compound name, quantity per vial and batch number. Vague labels ('peptide blend' without specification), incorrect quantity claims, or labels that look photoshopped are warning signs. Compare the label information against the COA โ they should match exactly.
๐ฉ No customer service or communication
Scam operations disappear after payment. Test a vendor before purchasing: email a pre-sale question and assess the response time, quality, and whether it demonstrates actual product knowledge. A vendor who can't answer basic questions about their products or takes weeks to respond is high risk.
๐ฉ No delivery guarantee or refund policy
Bank transfer and cryptocurrency are normal in this market, but they can't be reversed, so the vendor's own policies matter. Look for a published delivery guarantee, a clear refund and reship policy, and a real support address before you pay. Requests for gift cards or Western Union, or transfers to a personal account, are classic scam patterns. If a vendor offers no recourse for non-delivery, don't buy.
Tip: What good sourcing looks like: publicly available batch-specific COAs from accredited independent laboratories, a verifiable business identity, transparent pricing that reflects real manufacturing costs, responsive customer service, and a published delivery guarantee. Capital Precision Labs publishes its Janoshik certificates of analysis for most products on the certificate of analysis page.
